About West Hawaii Dance Theatre
West Hawaii Dance Theatre & Academy is a team of passionate dance instructors led by Founder & Artistic Director Virginia Holte – a graduate of the Academy of the Washington Ballet under the late Mary Day.
After a long, professional dance career with various ballet companies, Ms. Holte has been sharing her love of ballet and knowledge of movement with the Hawaii Community since 1986.
Our exceptionally diverse and family-friendly program includes daily classes for all ages. With multiple dance and theatre disciplines, workshops, outreach programs, performance opportunities and guest artist residencies, we foster creativity, self-esteem, courage, and discipline through individual attention and mentoring.
The result? Enriched human spirits and responsible community citizens.
